Armed with radiation, chemotherapy and medications, he fought courageously a 10-month battle against lung cancer that had spread to his head. Second son of the late Louis J. Cousineau (1974) and of the late Alma Belanger (1985). Predeceased by his youngest sister Madeleine Ethier (1986), his oldest brother Robert (1998) and oldest niece Lise Ethier (2000). Left to mourn are his sister Claire Chittick with whom Henri spent his final 10 months with at her home, his brother Paul (wherever you are), his step-grandmother Therese Belanger and her 2 sons and 2 daughters, 4 nephews, 6 nieces, 6 grandnephews, 11 grandnieces, one great-grandniece and many cousins in Canada and the U.S. Will be missed by many friends, especially Fernand Constantineau. ! Friends may call at the RACINE, ROBERT & GAUTHIER FUNERAL HOME, 180 Montreal Road, Vanier (241-3680) on Tuesday March 30th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Service at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Ashes to be buried in family plot at Notre-Dame Cemetery, Ottawa. Sincere thank you to Liane Murphy for her guidance, Dr. Scott Laurie and his team in chemotherapy, Dr. Andre Girard and his team in radiation, Dr. Louise Coulombe, VON nurses - Palliative Care, CCAC - Home Care, CentraCare - Health Services, nurse Nicole St.Elin, all who were very caring, compassionate and devoted to their profession.
