The family came from Glengarry county, Ontario and moved to Sherbrooke area between 1897 and 1901. The daughter Gilda is actually Hilda. The daughter Alma born 1913 is Alma Frances, but often spelled Elma. I believe Wilfred, Bertha, Alma & possibly Lawrence moved to the United States. Anther post about Wilfred suggested Connecticut, but they had a cousin in Springfield, Mass. I have no trace of Sarah. James was in Windsor Mills, QC as of 1924, Mary Elizabeth, Hazel & Hilda in Lachine, QC, until the 1960's. My question - If Thomas is your great-grandfather, and he is my great-grandfather, how are we connected? I have baptismal & marriage records for Thomas. My mother said I was named after him, he and his wife Hortense (Theriault) are buried in Garden Michigan near the Fayette State Park, a ghost town smelting complex Thomas sold his produce at. If you are unfamiliar with the area and related it is an interesting visit as it still remains as it was in the 1880's. I have extensive info on his bloodline availalble (not readily, in storage at this moment). Also a scanner copy of his wedding photo.
