I will be 63 yrs. old tomorrow and wish I could meet at least one family member before my time is due. I may have a brother or sister as I was referred to as "the second child born" on the adoption papers. I was named "Baby Cousineau" after my mothers' maiden name of Cousineau. If anyone could help me I would be eternally grateful...I have loved her for almost 63 years...it would be great to meet someone related to her, who knew her! Bless us all! Always a Cousineau! I have been looking for more on the origins of Annie-Eleanore (aka Leonora) for many years. We believe that she was born in Quebec on 17 Feb 1851, but that date could vary to any day or month within 10 years of this date. Who are her parents? In about 1863???, she married Pierre ARBOUR. Where? Who are his parents? Their daughter Annie Eleonore was born in about in 1864, but it seems awfully young for her mother to be having birth at age 13. Annie-Eleonore and Pierre continued to have children together, which can be documented from 1874 through 1891, in the Pembroke and Mattawa areas of Ontario. Pierre died in 1912 in Montreal. Annie-Eleonore died in 1932 in Cartierville, QC. Would love to know more about anyone mentioned here. Please help! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Most of it is birth, death and burial info. My modern stuff follows the info from his daughter Marie (agnes' sister?) who married James Ward. Get back to you soon. I do have a copy of Thomas' and Hortense' wedding photo (1868 I think) and I think a Family photo with all the kids. I remember a Leo and I think an Agnes being in it. Boy did my mother and Hortense look alike! My info follows the Cousineau bloodline back to France (Jean Baptiste Cousineau b1590 of Guy Cousineau). They farmed in Nova Scotia (then New Acadia) near Lac De Canards before those Pilgrim newcomers here in the US. I believe the first born in the New world was 1618 or 1620, but I have no info as to when they came over. A family member was one of the founders of Grand Prix, Nova Scotia a few years later, which is now a historic village like Fayette, Mi where Thomas settled, which is a State Park now. Feel free to send me a reminder if it takes more than a week as I am online just a few times a month. My email is bst665@yahoo.com if anyone has info to share or requests.
