I am related to a Cousino thru my grandfather. I am trying to find info on a Julia Marie Cousino (parents unknown). She was married to my grandfather Verl Cornelius Lajiness from the MI area. He was born in Erie 8/30/1897 and she was born abt. 1899. I have no info on her nor do I have any avenues open to me. My Aunt Audrey says Julia was married about 6 times and I have no idea what the names are. She was in the Sioux City, IA around 1979 when her son (*my dad Richard J. Lajiness) died. I have death certs of her sons with her name spelled Cousino, but you never know if this is right. Thanks for any info you may have, Cheryl Lajiness Dewey

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2003 at the Notre-Dame de Lourdes Church, Vanier, at 10:30 a.m. Special thanks to the staff on the 2nd floor of the Centre d'accueil Champlain. Leona was born in Caro, April 4, 1916, daughter of the late Henry and Ethel (Knight) Taylor and lived in Lupton since 1963. She married David Cousineau, March 14, 1932 in Flint. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1983. Leona loved to garden. Surviving are: daughter, June Bush of Birch Run; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Thelma (Victor) Braden of Mayville; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, David Cousineau in 1980; 2 brothers, Jackie Taylor and Bobbie Taylor. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home, Birch Run, with Pastor Richard Phillips officiating. Interment will be at E. Dayton Cemetery, Mayville at 3 p.m. Family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Monday and 1-9 p.m. Tuesday.
