My sixth great grandfather was Robert Courtney b. abt. 1690 in New Castle Co. Delaware. Robert first moved to Baltimore Co., Md. and then moved to Onslow Co. N. C. in 1744. Robert and his first wife, Abigail, had seven children; Jonas, Abigail, John, Robert, Phoebe, Jonathan, and Rowland. Robert died in 1751 and starting in the early 1760's most of his children moved to Craven Co., S. C. In 1739 Richard Curtis was bonded to Robert and later married his daughter, Phoebe. I am looking to share information with other descendants of these families, both Courtney and Curtis.
