    1. [Cork] Richard Pomeroy of County Cork, Ireland & Virginia

    3. I am still searching for a connection of my *Ole Richard* who arrived in Va. about 1782-5, married in Front Royal area on 5 Nov 1792, raised a large family that is still rather strong in the area. I have had the DNA TEST which indicates a tie to two families in County Cork, Ireland. in 1750 and one group in Bedminster near Bristol in 1784 and Launceston in Cornwall in 1792. I have made contact with one descendent of a Millstreet, County Cork family which was suspected as being *Irish cousins* for a number of years. NO contact thus far with the other County Cork family!! More recently, I have been connected to another Richard Pomeroy born about 1775-1788, married 20 Sept 1807 at St Mary Church, St Olave Road, Rotherhithe, London [to Isott Webber, daughter of John & Mary Webber] ; died in 1850 @ age 62 at 1 Clarence Place, Stepney buried at St Dunstans Stepney, London. This latter connection shows 22 of 25 markers [this means there is a 99.9% likelihood that we have a common ancestor.] The DNA test subject is living in Australia, age 82 born 1920 in Tottenham. This Richard has a connection to a second family in Somerset, the third from Stockport in NW England, (possibly Worcestershire), and the fourth from Wiltshire. Can anyone help by identifying POC for any of these families ? Help greatly appreciated.... Chuck Pomeroy
