The Mallow Heritage Centre costs quite a bit more, as opposed to the National Library which costs nothing other than your expense in going there to do the research, except that the microfilmed parish records for the Diocese of Cloyne are restricted from public access at the National Library. They are only open to view if you first obtain a letter of permission from the Diocese of Cloyne. These are usually freely given, but be sure to send in your request in plenty of time before your research trip. See http://www.irish-roots.net/mallow.asp for information about the Mallow Heritage Centyre and their services. -dja
