Greetings all, Someone was looking for this surname in Cork, and there was a response about Mulcahy's in Ballyhooley. As I have some of those records I took a look and am posting here what I found. Anne Mulcahy married William Going on Feb 18, 1833 - the witnesses were William Evens, Michael Mulcahy. This is from Ballyhooley Church Records Anne and William Going had at least five children - Edmond May 28, 1834 Sponsors William Lombard and Anne Quaine Johanah Nov 8, 1836 Sponsors looks like David Mulkoly (but could be Mulcahy) and Johanna Lombard Mary Feb 18, 1839 Sponsors John Mulcahy and Mary Horgan Jane Apr 22, 1841 Sponsors John McCarthy and Mary Horgan Catherine Dec 16, 1844 Sponsors Thomas Going and Margaret Daly These are from Ballyhooley Church records Another instance of John Mulcahy's name appearing is as the sponsor, along with Catherine Going, to a child named James Rice, the son of John Rice and Bridget Sullivan - April, 1849 These are the only references I see with the material I have on hand. I am not working on this surname and have no additional information. I am working on the Going (Gowen) surname and just pulled this data from information gathered on Going. I hope it helps someone.
