    1. [COUNTYCORK] Dr. Casey's volumes

    3. A few years ago I was able to order these via the public library. It takes awhile and you need to decide which volumes you need as only certain volumes will be useful to you. Seems to me I have seen an index of the contents of each volume but sorry I now cannot remember where I saw that. If you have access to a Mormon Family History Center(available in most cities by looking under churches in the yellow pages of phone book...Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) they can order these volumes in for you to view there at their center...on microfilm. You may also be able to order this microfilm via library if they have a viewer. It would be wonderful if they were on CD's(my wish list) but not available in that format yet as far as I know. The first choice on my wish list right now is to be able to obtain the 1901 census for county Cork on CD(dreamer!) Cobh Genealogical Project(look on Anglican.org) has done some computerizing of a few parishes and will do a search for a reasonable fee if they have completed your area. This has been useful to me but the work is slowed now significantly due to lack of funding/priority. 3. Barbara, Are there any census for county Cork available? I am not familiar with the Family History Centers. I live in Houston and I am sure there is one here. My gr.grandfather Patrick Neville was from County Cork. Born in either 1843 or 1847. I don't know the names of his parents (my gr.gr.grands) or the exact area they are from. I don't know where to begin. 3. try doing a search on the website for the Griffiths Land Valuation record which will show you which areas of Cork had Nevilles in the mid 19th century http://www.failteromhat.com/ If you have the names of his children in correct birth order from the US census then the first son should be named for his father who might be the head of house listed as occupying land in this record. Have you gotten a copy of his marriage record? In some cases that might have his parents listed on it. Good luck! 3. All the films from the FHL are being digitized now by volunteers. Eventually every film will be online FREE. You may get your wish someday. Most of us at the FHC help. After you sign up you get a census form from any year and it shows up on the top half of your monitor and you copy the info on the bottom half and sent it off then go on to the next sheet.
