The name was written as HOOLEY. I have searched and found a Martin Hooley who was a mason by trade in Cheshire in the 1841 Census in Birkenhead and there are other names sounding like Hooley mentioned in other censuses which I am trying to investigate at the moment. Have not been able to find a Martin Hooleys death anywhere in the U.K. BDM's but will keep trying for lookups as the parish may not be transcribed as yet.
