Hi, I'm new to the list and I'm looking for information about my ancestors from Cork. I would love to know how and when they got to Australia and whether there are any Malones still in the area. My GGG Grandfather MALONE, Francis - b. in Castletownsend. He was recorded as a bootmaker in 1864. He was married to a Mary O'DRISCOLL, probably before they left Ireland. My GG Grandfather - MALONE, Francis John - b. approximately 1832 in Castletownsend, died 1874 in Bingara, New South Wales. Married SMITH, Selina (b. New Zealand) in 1864. Francis and Selina had a daughter, Mary. He was a widower when he married Seliena - had probably been married to a Bridget STANTON and had 2 sons, Henry and another Francis. Hope someone can help.
