I am also interested in Stouts from Cork--in particular, those who settled in Hastings county. I do have several records for Stouts in Drimoleague parish, starting in 1812. I do not find any Stouts in Halton in 1852, but do see a John Stout age 64 in Trafalgar in the 1871 census. I also see that he died in 1883 and there is an age discrepancy--said to be 84 at time of death. Too bad he wasn't living in 1901 as that would give his year of immigration. I'm wondering how you found that the family had come from Dunmanway? Please accept my apology for the error in sending a reply regarding my Stout family to the list. It was a slip of the finger (blush) Regards and happy hunting Kevin J.
