Putting the parents' names into the IGI search produces one other child: MARGARET ALICIA GOOD - International Genealogical Index Gender: Female Birth: 10 MAY 1864 0003, Bandon Dispensary, Cork, Ireland JAMES JOHN GOOD - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Birth: 20 APR 1866 0004, Bandon, Cork, Ireland As for aunts and uncles, I do have a baptism record for a Thomas Good, son of Robert and Mary, 28 June 1840 in Kilbrogan parish, Church of England/Ireland. There are several other children of Robert and Mary who were also baptised there. Kilbrogan included the town of Bandon and surrounding area on the north side of the Bandon River. The south side of the river, which included most of the town, was in Ballymodan parish. Unfortunately, I didn't record any Ballymodan Good records after 1831 or Kilbrogan records after 1843. Only the first record indicates that Robert and Mary were from Ballymodan. The other children of Robert and Mary were (these are baptism dates, not birth dates): 11 Jan 1834 GOOD Harriet Susanna Robert, Mary of Ballymodan 3 Dec 1834 GOOD Mary Robert, Mary 21 Jan 1836 GOOD James Robert, Mary 26 Dec 1836 GOOD Henry Robert, Mary 4 Feb 1838 GOOD Sarah Robert, Mary 5 May 1839 GOOD Robert Robert, Mary 12 Feb 1843 GOOD Charles James Robert, Mary [this is the last date I recorded--end of that register] There were other Good families in these two parishes as well, but this is the only family I found with a Thomas. The Ballymodan and Kilbrogan registers are in the RCBL at the Church of Ireland archives in Dublin. Anyone can review them there. You could hire a researcher to look for your family should you wish to do so. There are far more Good records in those registers than those I copied. I did not note a marriage for Robert and Mary. In 2003 when I was copying these records I did send them to the [email protected] list. You could search the list archives for additional records. I should get these onto a website--it's on my rather lengthy list of things to do! Robert GOOD married Mary LOANE 1833 according to Casey. No location given but the LOANE family are concentrated around Bandon. >From my records, Mary may be the daughter of either Thomas LOANE and Mary COLLINS (born 1799) or Daniel LOANE and Mary HAYNES (born 1815). Given the naming of their children perhaps Thomas and Mary are more likely - also Susannah and Harriet are names of other daughters of Thomas and Mary, who are most likely my 3x great-grandparents. However the early 1800 parish records are sketchy for this family so there may be other possible parents. Thank you Sharon for these children of Robert and Mary - will add them to my records. Regards, Patsy - New Zealand.
