We are still madly working on the Encumbered Estates for Cork. Anita Coraluzzi very kindly sent her indexes to the Cork Encumbered Estates for addition to the IGP Archives website. So, to make it all mesh better I have redone the LAND index to match Anita's contributions. If you have found your ancestor in Griffith's Valuations you can check Anita's index to see whether the estate for the landowner is listed. Not all will be as these estates were being sold and that will not include other landowners. If you find the landowner listed, then you can see in the index where the estate records can be found. There are four films of Encumbered Estates for Cork and we are working on the first film. What we have so far falls under Volume 3. If anyone else has Encumbered Estate records transcribed or available to transcribe, we would be glad to add them to what we have.
