I've been there twice, but only to see the museum, which is very interesting. My understanding of their genealogical research service is that it is limited to looking things up on John Grenham's CDROM. Not that that might not be worth doing. It's just that the Cobh Heritage Centre would not be high up on my list of places to do genealogical research in County Cork. Both the County and Cork City Libraries would be a richer environment for historical or genealogical research.
