    3. Anthony A few years ago I was trying to find ships passenger lists coming to England from USA around 1880/90. I spoke to someone at the records office at Kew in London and they have ships lists, but you do have to search them yourself or pay a researcher as they don't provide a search service, which means you need to have an idea of the names of ships or year of arrival unless you have plenty to spend on research as it was expensive to have searches done privately. I would think that there is a good chance that Kew would have the records you require as most of the ships going out to USA seem to have docked in England also. Unfortunately, I did not have the money to pay a researcher so I'm still no nearer finding when my family actually arrived here. Good luck moira hannam [email protected] genealogy webpage http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~moirahannam/index.html On 1 Jun 2007, at 02:01, [email protected] wrote: I have a family who came over to the U.S. from Ireland in the 1860's then went back to Ireland in 1871 and came back to the U.S. again in late 1870's.
