    3. Hi Pasty Thank you so much for your imput i agree that it looks like the parents & daughters born in Cork somewhere i had hoped that later census may help but it don't, & of course the 1841 don't give much on it anyway. I am not sure how to proceed with trying to find their births & the marriage of Daniel & Ellen, one thing i have seen on the 1851 census a few pages on from Daniel address 6 New Court (daniel being at 1 new court) there is a another family of Harrington's which has a 11 year old Daniel but not only that there is some McCarthy's there now Ellen the daughter married a McCarthy so could be they all are related, I know that Ellen's father in law Dennis McCarthy was born Cork (again don't know where) but he was married in Clerkenwell in 1828 so was here quite a long time before the Harringtons. If you or anyone else knows how to look up the records for someone who can't get to Ireland or has access to a LDS history centre are they available online or anything i appreciate any help Regards Janice >From: "Patricia O'Shea" <[email protected]> >To: <[email protected]> >CC: <[email protected]> >Subject: Re: [COUNTYCORK] Harrington/Sullivan McCarthy >Date: Thu, 31 May 2007 19:32:49 +1200 > >Hi Janice - not much help here but all the birthplaces in 1851 are prefaced >by 'Cork'. 3. Hello again Janice. I am no expert on Irish research but with the actual information you have from the census you are quite lucky. I would think that with Ellen being born in Kilmeen and Catherine born in Castleventry it is possible that Daniel and Ellen were also married around there. It might be worth contacting the parish priest to see if they know if there are records for the church for that time and where they are kept. >From a Google search it looks like this would be the contact: Very Rev. Augustine Keating PP Rossmore, Clonakilty County Cork e-address: [email protected] Hope this helps.
