    1. Re: [COUNTYCORK] Hiring a researcher for Cork

    3. Hi Cathryn, I have relatives who immigrated from Cork city, to the USA in the 1830s. I've exhausted pretty much all the info I can on this side of the ocean, and have recently hired a local researcher for searching records in Cork. The thing we run up against with the DALYname is that it is so common, and so many women had the name Mary, Margaret, Anne Marie, etc. that it's tough work to find these relatives. I'm assuming you've tried the Griffiths Valuation, and the other free resources available. If you'd like to talk about the process I went through with my professional genealogist, please write to me at [email protected] I received his preliminary report, and am in the decision-making phase as to whether to hire him for a full investigation. Regards, Patricia Daly Ohio VINCENT IMBRIANI <[email protected]> wrote: I have had searches at Mallow Center but they have found nothing that helps me to locate the roots of Daniel Callahan/Callaghan, father Daniel, mother Margaret Daly, born April 1858. Are there any websites from Cork City that I may search? Do you have to hire a researcher to do Cork City? Appreciate any thoughts.
