SHOULD this meet the eye of MARY MILES, from Castledown, Roach, Ireland, who arrived in the colony in the year 1851, per ship Earl Grey, her friends will be glad to communicate with her. Address to JOHN AHERN, care of THOMAS WOOLASTON, Peel River. None of my Ahern relations went to Australia. None of my Aherns were from Castletownroche. Nor am I related to any Miles or Woolastons. You are correct that I am leaving a trail, but it is there for anyone to follow wherever it may lead them. I'd say that 95% of the articles I've transcribed over the years for the IrelandOldNews.com website make no mention of any Aherns. But as I have not that many more miles to go and too many promises to keep, I have been concentrating my efforts on a somewhat narrower path. >But imagine if we all did it! Your point being? -dja
Hi Dennis, All I can say is thankyou for the many times you have helped me. You have been doing a wonderful job in your work and I am sure a lot of people appreciate the help you have given them over the many years. Cant understand what anyone is complaining about! Perhaps the email was in jest?
