Hi all Given that Mitchelstown seems to be 'in the news' lately thought I may as well throw my own Mitchelstown ancestors into the melting pot. William O'BRIEN married Mary HEDDERMAN at Mitchelstown in 1830 and at least six of their children emigrated to Australia. The oldest son of William & Mary, also William, married Ellen MANNIX at West Maitland in 1857. The MANNIX Family also came to Australia from Mitchelstown (there is reportedly a connection to the great Daniel MANNIX). Look forward to hearing from anyone connected or interested. Regards Pete
