>From The Irish Times, 6 March 1915 -- The funeral took place in Cork on Saturday last of the late Mr. Jeremiah Ahern, of Maylor street, Cork. The remains were interred at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Mass was previously celebrated at St. Patrick's Church at 11 o'clock, by Rev. C. O'Leary, C.C. The cortege was large and impressive. Mr. Ahern was for many years a member of the Cork Corporation until ill-health forced his retirement some years ago.
