    3. Do you know where your Hennesseys are from in Cork? I have a 4 gr Hennessey grandmother from around Skibbereen in southwest County Cork who married John Walsh of Skeagh ca 1800. Barbara in St. Louis, Missouri _______________________________________________ Thanks for writing, Barb. I'm afraid we have no idea, that's our brick-wall. The only information we have about their place of origin is the family story that they came from County Cork. We have been in touch with a descendant of Thomas HENNESSY and she also had the story that their origins were in the county so we feel it is very likely to be true. This is what we "know":- Patrick HENNESSY was a butcher in County CORK in the 1830s & 40s. He was Catholic and had two sons: 1. Thomas HENNESSY born around 1835-6 2. Patrick HENNESSY born in 1846 or thereabouts. They could be related to your gggggm but until we can identify their family we have no way of knowing. We'll keep looking. -- Best wishes Ray ********************************************************** >From Ray Hennessy Forenames website: www.whatsinaname.net Preferred Email address: ray@whatsinaname.net Hints for Scotland's People at http://bit.ly/WIAN-SCP **********************************************************
