Shelia, thank you very much! When I saw your posting I went directly to it to see if I could find Agnes Bridget Gaffigan who arrived at Queenstown on the "Celtic" in July 1912 on her way to County Tyrone, with a stop-over at St. Patrick's in Dundalk to get married. She was from San Francisco, California, and married Michael Joseph McCarroll (or Carroll as he received his citizenship in the U.S.). But, alas, it was not to be. Couldn't even locate a John Gaffigan who arrived sometime in 1914 to visit his new grandson. Hopefully, it will connect some others that are searching. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sheila" <irishgen2009@gmail.com> To: <COUNTYCORK@rootsweb.com>; <IRELAND-ROOTS@rootsweb.com>; <IRELAND@rootsweb.com>; <IRISH-NEW-YORK-CITY@rootsweb.com>; <IRL-CORK@rootsweb.com>; <IRL-TIPPERARY@rootsweb.com>; <NY-IRISH@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, November 22, 2009 7:33 AM Subject: [CO CORK] Irish brick walls - Connect people to townlands > I've have been researching the US State Department records at the US > National Archives and found registration documents from the years 1907 > to 1928.
