    3. Easy for my parents, easy for me, not so easy for my children! Dad was 100% Irish. My mother was 50% Irish and 50%English. Therefore, I am 75%Irish and 25%English. My children....Jack's mother was 75%Irish (County Cork Mahoney) and 25%German. His dad is 50%Irish and 50%French/German. Therefore, their dad is 62.5%Irish and 37.5 French/German. Anyone care to calculate my children's mix? One must take into consideration a daughter's denial of any English roots despite my documentation! As for Jack's French/German. He claims his great-grandfather whom he remembers spoke with a German accent. He was from Alsace-Lorraine, so it's possible even though records say French.
