    3. Hello, Bette -- Have you located your grandmother in the 1900 US census (Montana or elsewhere)? That census will give some clues as to when she came to America. And that in turn could lead to the naturalization information that may help you place your Irish roots. You might also look at city directories for Troy or Albany for further clues. Hope this helps. I am not sure I put this on this list. I am looking for grandmother, Anna Elizabeth SULLIVAN born 1856 to Michael and Bridget SULLIVAN, nee SULLIVAN. She told my uncle that "they" left Ireland for Troy NY. I am unable to match her with anyone in Ireland or Troy. I do know she married in Montana in 1893, died in Seattle, WA and was buried in Montana. The only clue to anything is a picture of a young man taken about 1910 with the name Michael Sullivan on it.
