You should join Dublin rootsweb. Maybe someone there will have come across the name. I'm living in Dublin all my life+have never heard it, so it is an unusual enough name. The Dub. Roots have a lot of graves listed free. Good luck. He was born c1811. My only information so far is that his father was John Daunt, shoemaker. I have found a John Daunt shoemaker in Holden's Triennial Directory 1809 in Cork. Also a marriage of John Daunt and Harriet Danckert from Rathcooney (I think that's near the city of Cork?) in 1797 on the IGI (an individual submission) and also seen it in a Casey's volume re Cork marriages. It's tempting to think they're all connnected, or even the same, but it could just be that they're the only surviving records for John Daunts. My GGrandmother was called Harriet, so it's tempting to think it's a clue in favour. Anyone related information, clues, thoughts very welcome indeed.... Where else to look from afar (England) or any related people out there?
