If her death is listed in civil reg. you should be able to obtain a photocopy of the entry from GRO no matter what the year? Colman Ahern. Berkeley Calif. Hi again John, I went to the website you posted, truthfully I don't think it has much to do with genealogy or finding details on ones ancestors. Below are a couple of links for the GRO in Dublin. http://www.groireland.ie/ http://www.groireland.ie/fees.htm The register of deaths has entries from 1864 for the civil registration of deaths in Ireland to the present day. If you can locate what you think is the correct entry in the online indexes for civil registration of deaths send the index details to the office with the relevent fee (this seems to be six euros at present) and ask for a photocopy of the original entry in the register. The index entry details are: full name of person, registration district, volume number, page number, and of course year of death. You should be able to find the death you are looking for at this website, search under deaths. http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=collectionDetails&c=fs%3A1408347 <http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=collectionDetails&c=fs%3A1408347> The full entry from the deaths register will not give place of burial, it may list place of residence, also name of informant (sometimes a relative), cause of death and a few other details. The site given appears to be simply an 'online ordering' service site and is offering only 'official long form' certificates to 'Irish citizens, residents and families' worldwide. In addition, any death certificate ordered through this link will have its information automatically added to a 'death register' which is to be made available to the public free of charge.. On looking at the current 'death register' I notice it contains the names (and maiden names in some cases) of people who died in May this year. Peculiar?? I'm sure many of us have secured certificates and/or printouts well outside of these dates for events in Ireland (I myself have printouts for deaths in Ireland from the 1860s. However these have been ordered either directly from the GRO or through an agent.) I would advise some caution and further research before using these types of services. However in response to the actual query, none of the certificates/printouts I have for deaths in Ireland give the place of burial.
