Hello, I am researching my grandmother's family who came from County Cork. Her grandfather was Dennis Desmond born about 1820. His father was Patrick Desmond and mother Margaret O'Donnell. I do not have much information on this family except Dennis went to Canada in the 1840's where his children were born. He then came to Cincinnati Ohio where he was a blacksmith. I understand the name Desmond is very common in County Cork. I can not pinpoint exactly what area they came from. The were Catholic. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Janet
