Barbara, Most townlands have been spelled phonetically for years and there have been different versions as a result. When searching at www.seanruad.com use the search method at the right which gives you the option of "anywhere in field", "beginning of field" and "end of field", or "must match exactly". In this case if you place "Ard" in the townland area and use search method "beginning of field" you will come up with a number of townlands including "ARDNACLUG" in the Civil Parish of Inishannon. None of the methods. however, work for Toonadrooma anywhere in Munster never mind Cork. I would suspect that townland is totally mis-spelled or misinterpreted. Bill Fahy
