    1. [Cork] Robert Robinson / Cork Parish
    2. Asking help in figuring out where my GGGGrandfather, Robert Robinson was born. We have a document, written by his son, which is very hard to read. It appears that Robert was born in approximately 1783 in Cork Parish of Loch____(appears to be perhaps a qui__, but not sure). Any help in figuring out this location would be greatly appreciated. We had expected to find him completely associated with Scotland, but not so. His youngest son was born at BallyCastle, yet Robert Robinson received his Dr. degree from Glasgow University, and my GGGrandfather, his oldest son, was born in Glasgow. Thank you. Jane Goux

    3. Here's a possibility. There is a townland and parish named Lackeen. Spoken aloud, "Loch" and "qui" (pronounced "key") might sound like Lo(a)ckeen to a non-Irish scribe.
