    3. I am new to this list, and currently working on my FLANAGAN line in parish Ballyagran in County Limerick, just outside of County Cork. While I am having difficulty researching this line, I do have one little piece of history in my hands that may help out: a letter from Stephen MOLLOY (also has been spelled MOLEY, MALLOY, MULLOY, and all one-L spelling variants) to his wife, Anna FLANAGAN MOLLOY. The letter was dated Feb 20, 1849, from Liverpool and sent to his wife in Charleville, County Cork, to a place, or maybe a street name that looks like "Coppanahane" or "Coppanahave" (it is hard to read his writing). The letter, basically, is telling his wife that he is about to board a ship, the Anglo-Americano, for Boston, sorry for the short notice, love you forever, etc... Sounds like a guy on the run, and we are surmising he may have had some link to the Young Irelanders of that time period in and around the city Cork. Anyhow, the letter was written about a year after these newlyweds had given birth to their daughter, Catherine. Owing to the fact that Anna's brother William FLANAGAN was from "Parish Ballygran, County Limerick" (according to his grave monument in Chicago, 1893), I had always tried to find family records in County Limerick. But I now have learned that parish Ballyagran spanned some territory in both counties, and that Charleville is only about 6 miles to the south of county Limerick. I am wondering if Charleville is in a separate parish, and if I should be looking for birth records for Catherine in County Cork. If anyone can inform me of the proper place to search for birth and/or marriage records for those living in Charleville, I'd appreciate it.
