    3. I am trying to track down the birth of my grandfather Martin Murray and have hit the proverbial brick wall. I know from marriage and death certs that he should have been born in 1871. Family lore says that he lived at Murray's Model Farm, Cork. Searches have shown me that there is a Model Farm Road, so I suspect it is a place, meaning that it may have been Murray of Model Farm. The parish is Carrigrohane a little way from Cork city. A directory states that there was only one Murray family in Carrigrohane in 1851-3, so I can only assume it is the family I am looking for. I have had a search done for 1870 to 1872 at this location without success. I have e mailed the parish priest for help(no reply), I just don't know what else I can do so any suggestions will be most welcome. The story behind this is that Martin left home because he did not want to enter the priesthood and was disowned by his family. All his letters from England were returned unopened. So all I know is that his father,Patrick. either had or worked on a farm in the Carrigrohane area of Cork. Can anyone help? Kind regards Bob in Norfolk UK
