Greetings, I am still searching the names ROURKE / POWER. I recently found out that there are also Armagh and Dublin connections to these names, but still my grandmother always said Cork was her grandparents homeland. They were James Rourke and his wife Anne Power. James was born in 1821 and Anne in 1823. They married and Richard (not sure if this was the firstborn) was born in Charlemont, Armagh. I would love to get any connections to these names. Thanks! Deborah p.s. just read a book by Ann Moore, called 'Gracelin O'Malley' - taking place in Cork in 1845. It gives a good feel for the areas of Cork in that time.
