Dear List, I am searching for some connection to Ireland, Or maybe England would be a better starting place. There was a David Armstrong(36) who sailed on a ship from Liverpool and came to Boston from the potato famine. Although there was no Carman/Carmen on board there was a Mr. Armstrong? The name of the ship was "The Chancellor". Can anyone identify these two men and say they are NOT the people for whom I am looking. Does anyone know anything about ANY Carman/Carmen Armstrong with a son named David in Ireland and/or England. Family history says they came "from the hills of Ireland, namely Cork". Does this ring true as to the terrain? It could be wrong. Is there somewhere I could check as for his spouse. I am assuming she had died by the time he immigrated to the U.S(1846-1950). If anyone know any way I could find out please help ! Dorothy (Armstrong) Snuggs dotjohn@cyberback.com
