I have just joined this Global Meeting Place, and not quite sure WHERE to begin, searching for my Mother's side of the family, I suppose it will be like a child, 'one step at a time'. For the last couple of years I have been searching for my English Paternal side, and have received a great deal of help, by belonging to a Family History Society, for a yearly subscription, I receive a quarterly Journal, and belong to a Global Meeting Place. I would like to know if a member can tell me if there is such a web-site for Cork. Reading a message from a member inquiring about a 'cemetery', it appears that there are various 'Districts' in County Cork !!, can someone tell me the name of the District I should be concentrating on, my Irish Grandparents lived in Industry Road, Cork. Also if it is not asking too much, could I be given the name/s of the Church [R.C of course] nearest to this street?. I know that my Grandmother went to Mass every morning, so I presume without means of transport, she would have had to walk. T.I.A for any help given.
