I am trying to find information on Carman/Carmen who had a son David who migrated to the United States during the potato famine. David S. Armstrong married Margaret Jane Jones and enlisted in the American Civil War(Union) they had three children A.H(Alfred Hughie) J.L. (Jimmy /James) Ida I am trying to find out who was the mother of David/ Wife of Carman and if he had other siblings. All of the information I have comes from family members, but the service in the American Civil War is documented. The marriage of David S. Armstrong and Margaret Jane Jones April 6, 1853 Pope County, Illinois is also documented. Nothing is known of James/Jimmy or Ida.
