Greetings, I'm searching for my grandmother's family of ROURKE'S. Ann was born in Woolwich, U.K. in 1880. Her father was JAMES 'MICHAEL' JOSEPH ROURKE, born in 1858 in Woolwich also. James married ANN POWER in approx 1845 in Ireland. They had a son JOHN ROURKE, born in 1847 in Ireland. James was in the military, in the Royal Arsenal. He was stationed in Bermuda sometime after John was born in 1847 and the time their daughter was born in 1850 in Bermuda. The daughter was ROSINA ROURKE. They also had a son, JAMES JOSEPH, born in 1853 in Bermuda. They moved back to England, to Woolwich, somtime between the time of James birth in 1853 and Michael's birth in Woolwich in 1858. I found a 1861 census for them in Woolwich and Ann was living at the barracks in Woolwich, while James was away with the military. He was on the 1881 census as a retired Sergeant, living in Woowich. I haven't been able to find out where in Ireland that James and Ann were from. My grandmother always said they were from Cork, but not sure if it is correct. If anyone has any connections to any ROURKE'S or POWER'S in Cork, I would like to hear from you. Thanks, Deborah
