Hi, I recently learned my husband's ancestor, Patrick Henry Keenan, was born in Cork. We don't know if that was City or County, or exactly what year, but it would have been in the later third of the 1700's. Are there any records from those years that I could see when I visit there this coming November? We know he was Catholic, and may have been married in Cork, and had children there. Do marriage records and baptism records for the late 1700's exist? Also, he supposedly came to the US in 1800. Do ship's lists from around that time exist that can be viewed?
