    3. I cannot remember now who on a Cork list referred me to the Cobh Genealogical Project for researching Church of Ireland (Protestant) records in Cork city, but I want to offer a BIG thank you. I got a letter today that gave me the baptism dates for my gr gr grandmother and her sister and the marriage of their parents in Christchurch (Holy Trinity) in Cork City. These records were not yet computerized, and I believe they just slogged through the microfilm using the rough dates (1829-1837) I had provided. There were several churches to search, and this was not filmed by the LDS, only by the National Archives of Ireland. It is true that I had labored for over 15 years to get the information necessary to narrow it down to Cork city and some dates, but this was sure a wonderful boost. Shows how the longer you research the less you need to find to feel accomplished. I have not moved back any generations, just found specific data on people who were once unknown or very vague to me. Anyone doing research on city of Cork (and some other areas) for Anglicans (Episcopal) who has definite names and some idea of dates will find this a US$30 well spent. As the person who referred me said, they went the extra mile and also looked up some related things for me-- much more than an hour's work. Elizabeth KnowltonEW@Compuserve.com
