Brothers of Owen possibly are George and James still feel unsure of: Owen was b. 1793 d. New Limerick, ME 1879; George Hannigan b. circa 1795, Ireland; James Hannigan b. 1800, Ireland. Annie was b. circa 1800 in Ireland d.26 Apr 1867 Owen and Annie left their infant child in Ireland, so the story goes, with the oldest son [or possibly a brother] the child died, and the son is believed to have also come over to US later more stories but no real connect. My father is now 81 and he and his brother are the last of their generation[3rd] and both now failing so would love to find the roots before they pass on. Peter HENNIGAN, next to oldest or oldest son?, of OWEN & ANNIE [HARTT]HANNIGAN, spelled it Hennigan, it appears...b. in Ireland 1/6/1825, and married Ellen[Helen on her tombstone] COWED[on a baptismal record for children, looks like Connio or Currio...but Cowed[I wonder if it was supposed to be Coward, a more common name] came from marriage intention filed in 1849 in Hallowell]...she was b. 5/10/1827 in Ireland settled in NB ; buried in Johnville. Their children were Bridget who may have been born in Hallowell, ME baptized 7 July 1852; married Patrick COYLE Owen b. 25 July 1852, in Milltown, NB, born in Maine, sponsors Thomas HANNIGAN and Catherine WHITE; on some census reports, is age is corrected to suggest he was born in 1863; occupation listed as a tailor; unknown what happened to him; Owen married Sara STEIN. Peter E born in 1860 in New Limerick, ME, moved to Johnville, NB by 1891 lived in Bowling Green, KY, in 1923 was in Columbia, TN, and wrote to Daniel J HANNIGAN of Portland that he planned to move to Columbus, OH unsure if he married or where he died. William , b 3 May 1862 in New Limerick, married Mary Ann FOLEY in Johnville, NB on 4 May 1897. Ellen was b. in 1865 in New Limerick, appears in 1871 Canadian census, but disappears from records by 1891. *Daniel [who may or may not be part of this family] was born 24 May 1872 in Canada, most likely; married Mary Agnes LIVINGSTONE. There may have been more children. Have some more info down this line, generationally, but not a whole lot. Thomas Edward[b1865, baptized 6/19/1865]. Addie/Adeline died at 27. Daniel James moved to Astoria WA. Francis Egan d. age 14. William Michael, moved to Melrose, MA. Frederick Curtis, also moved to Melrose. Gertrude Cecelia, married Patrick MCGUEN in Melrose. Clarence Albert married Lulu Mary FAULKNER...have dates etc on these and more on downline generations, but would like to hear from anyone as there are still many gaps. John HANNIGAN born in Ireland 2/26/1830; married Bridget FEENEY, b. 1854;[Feeney family connected to Johnville, NB area] had following children: Bridget who married John BRADLEY, son of Roger and Bridget[MULHERN] BRADLEY. Katherine E, b. 14 Mar 1861[d. 31 Jan 1882] who married Edward C MONAHAN and she died shortly after their marriage, not likely any issue. Mary Ellen, b. 14 Nov 1862 and married James BRADLEY, [b. 2 Apr 1856; died 3 May 1906[brother of John above]. Margaret, married Ernest GIBBONS[son of Thomas and R.[Meyer] Gibbons] in 1882. Edward Charles, married Susan KANE in 1887. James, married Isabel GOODEN in 1889. John-no birth date yet. William-no birth date yet. Catherine HANNIGAN, dtr of Annie and Owen HANNIGAN- b. 11/1831;d. 8 Nov 1903; married John DONAHUE[d.1881] and had following children: John[b. 4 Aug 1857] who married Emily SHEIN. Martin[b. 14 Aug 1861] who married Sarah MULLEN [OR BUTLER?] Edward[b.3 Dec 1865] married Anastassia FARREN in 1895; and later Helen CRANDLEMIRE in 1910. Edward HANNIGAN, son of Annie and Owen HANNIGAN- b.6 Sep 1833, d.21 Nov 1895; married Elizabeth WHITE in 1863 [she preferred to be called Eliza, also known as Lizzie] WHITE, born in Smyrna, Maine, of Martin and Mary [HASSETT] White..[some of Hassetts were either then or later in Bangor area]. They lived in New Limerick on the County Road and their children were all born in New Limerick: Thomas Edward b/ 30 Mar 1864; d. 5/16/1885. Mary Francis b. 28 May 1866 never married; took care of my grandfather Bernard Michael in Denver until he died; she died in Denver 20 Aug 1941. Annie Louise b 14 Aug 1968; d. 7 Aug 1958; married Frank WILLETTE in 1908. George Edward b 17 April 1872; d. 1953; married Sadie Bernice DENSMORE in 1912. Elizabeth[Lizzie] Julia b. 27 Nov 1875; d. 6 May 1957; married Stanley James MCCAIN in 1903. Lucy Gertrude b. 24 May 1877; d. 8 Mar 1953; married Adolph Fitzherbert STOCKFORD in 1909. John Willis b. 1 Aug 1879; died 4 Dec 1882. Joseph Martin b.11 Nov 1881; d. 29 Jan 1967; married Crystal Eda BRADBURY in 1920. Bernard Michael[my grandfather] b 26 May 1884; d 7 Oct 1919; married Ella Fern SHIELDS in 1915. Mary HANNIGAN, dtr of Owen and Annie HANNIGAN, [b. 1835 in Ireland]; married Martin MCGOLDRICK[b.Ireland] Mary and Martin had at least three children, 2 dtrs, one son, William who was a farmer...suspect he never married, died of apoplexy 4/25/1919 in New Limerick...may have been more, we have no more info on that as yet. From New Limerick, they moved to Patten. John, son of Owen and Annie HANNIGAN, was born in Ireland 2/26/1830 and married Bridget FEENEY. He may have been in Civil War? They had the following children Bridget[b. about 1860, d. ] married John BRADLEY[b. 7/26/1853] in Houlton...they had 10 children[set of twins did not live long]. One daughter[Eva] died a bit over 16. Names: James, John jr, Theresa, Alice, Daniel, Albert, William Mary Ellen HANNIGAN, b. 11/14/1862[of John And Bridget[Feeney]Hannigan married James BRADLEY,[b.4/2/1856 in New Limerick, Maine] son of Roger and Bridget MULHERN Bradley. We don't have much information on them except that he died 5/3/1906 and is buried w/ his parents and brother in Houlton. Unknown if they had children or what became of Mary Ellen. Bridget, dtr of Annie and Owen HANNIGAN,[b11/17/1837,Ireland] married William MULLEN?[possibly Butler, due to handwriting interpretations~ still unsure]. They had at least one child, John, who married Christie BRADBURY; they moved to Fort Kent for a while and then out west to Puget Sound, WA. Bridget died at age 29 and it is thought that William married again to Eliza GALLAGHER and they had a daughter, Sarah , who married Martin DONAHOE, son of Bridgets older sister, Catherine. Owen Eugene, son of Annie [Hart] and Owen HANNIGAN, [b.3/17/1841; d.12 Oct 1908, married Catherine[Kate] BRADLEY[b. 8/9/1843] in 1865 and their children were : William Henry[who spelled his name HANAGAN and married Catherine ?; James Edward, b. 13 Jul 1867; d. 2 May 1947; married Lydia MCCARTHY in 1906. Franklin Albert, b. 4 Jun 1869died in woods accident at age 28. Joseph Augustus, b. 1 Apr 1871; married Ruth GOLDEN in 1901. Owen was known as Owney but dont know more about him Winnifred Catherine, b. 31 Jul 1875 married Arthur HACKETT in 1895. John Emerit, b. 22 Aug 1877; married Elsie KNORR in 1909 Erin Henrietta, b. 8 Aug 1881, married James W. LYON in 1907. Thomas Elmer, b. 7 Aug 1885, married Beatrice HAGGERTY in 1916. Anne Geneva, b. 13 Mar 1885 married Hamilton FLINTON in 1904. Ethel Teresa, b. 6 Aug 1887 married Winfield MCCARTHY in 1908.
