My Gt Gt Grandmother, Catherine O'CONNOR was born abt 1821 in Bandon, Co. Cork. She married [I don't know where!] John WATSON, a soldier in The Royal Regiment [from West Norfolk,] in about 1853. Their daughter, my Gt Grandmother, Catherine WATSON, was bn in 1857 on a homeward bound troopship from India, off Gibralter. This 2nd Catherine married my Gt Grandfather, Louis Henry PALMER, in Wisbech, Cambs, UK, on 11 March 1883. John & Catherine's other 2 children, John & William, both died young and are buried at Wretton, West Norfolk. Catherine O'CONNOR died 2 July 1897 either in Wisbech, Cambs, or Wretton, West Norfolk. I still have to get her death registration details and certificate. I'm afraid I know nothing else about Catherine O'Connor at the moment - not even if she had siblings. Grateful for suggestions and advice on how to trace Catherine's family.
