Hello readers, I am trying to find information about my great grandfather, Thomas Joseph Hayden b. Tipperary Ireland, April 23, 1871. His younger brother Francis Joseph Hayden was born in Cork 1873, younger siblings Margaret in 1875 and Bridget 1877-80. The 3 older children were sent to Canada as orphans in 1883, father was killed and mother or grandmother kept Bridget. Parents were Francis Hayden ( tailor) and (Margaret) Ellen Quirk. I am not 100% sure anymore if Thomas was born in Tipperary, as I am having hard time finding birth registration for him, have heard from General Registrars that not everyone did comply to civil registration back then, that explains why I did not find his siblings birth registrations in indexes of births at Latter Day Saints library. I did find 5 Thomas' for 1871, not a one in Tipperary or Cork, I may have found out that parents were married after Thomas' birth, so am hoping they did register his birth as they might not have had him baptized. I have ! found a marriage registration of Francis Hayden and Ellen Quirk at St. Nicholas Liverpool, May 23, 1871, one month after Thomas was born. Could anyone give me advice on how to search parish records from Canada, I will never make it to Ireland myself, can't afford to hire investigator or anyone else to conduct search for me, would appreciate any advice. Thanks, Tami.
