    1. [Cork] Cogan Goggin?

    3. Karen: Saw your post re GOGGIN/MANGAN. Don't know if there is a connection here but wanted to let you know of my Cogan family so have attached a family group sheet for them. Note the alias name below for Kit COGAN/GOGGIN. She apparently went by GOGGIN, but I have no further information as to the reason. Not sure how accurate the information is on this family except where I have dates, places, etc. The surname MANGAN does not ring any bells with me. Do you know what the "F" stands for in your great grandfather's name, John F. Goggin? I descend from Nora COGAN and Daniel CREEDON. Looking forward to hearing from you! Goggin" <ksgoggin@yahoo.com> To: CountyCork-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [Cork] Goggin / Mangan 1844 Dear Friends, My great grandfather John F. Goggin, born June 05, 1844 in Co. Cork was the son of a Goggin and (mother) a Mangan. John came to Cleveland, Ohio in 1868 as a marble cutter. He worked for the Rockefellers on their estate as a lamplighter during the first mini depression. Can anyone tell me where in County Cork I might search for these families? Several of his children returned to County Cork in the 1920's and did not find any family, however the grandchildren admit that their parents weren't sure where in Cork to look. I would appreciate any and all suggestions. Thank You, Karen Goggin Simi Valley, California __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
