I was so excited about finding aunt Eleanor McCarty on the will index I had ordered at the FHC the other night that I forgot to offer to do lookups on it this month before the film goes back. I noticed wills leaving estates ranging from L15 up to L2000, and it included farmers although not farm laborers. Please put Will Lookup in your request to me and indicate place of death, occupation if you know it, spouse, etc, if it is a very common name. The person should have died between the end of 1914 up until Nov 1916. Please only ask for lookups if you are pretty sure the person died within these dates and could have left a will. It includes all of Ireland, not just Cork. Now, does anyone know where the Cork copies of wills were kept when they sent the originals up to Dublin (where they burned in 1922)?
