Hello I am a new subscriber from Canada and thought I would post my interest. I am researching Catherine HART, b. c. 1817 Cork. She married Samuel ARNOLD in London, England in 1841. Her father was listed as William Hart, Labourer. The witnesses were William Hart and Ellen Hart. In 1871, she is listed on the Shoreditch, Middlesex, England census as follows: 9 Wenlock Terrace Shoreditch Samuel Arnold, head. 56. b. Hertfordshire Shinley [sic]. Kate Arnold, wife. 54. B. Ireland, Cork Lissie Arnold, dau, 21. Laundress. b. Shoreditch Joseph Arnold, son. 14. Machine Boy. b. Islington. I know there was also another daughter, Sarah, who would have been about 27 at the time. Do you think that the census means she was born in Co. Cork, or the city of Cork?
