Hello, My ancestor gave his age as 17 years when he enlisted in the15th regiment of Foot at Cork 14/11/1851. David ROCHE was born at Fermoy in 1834 (calculated) He returned to live in Cork when he was retired to pension in 1873. During his service, essentially, in India, he married Sarah and had six children. The last three are assumed born in England . I would be very thankful if some helpful person could do a look-up in the local parish register in Fermoy for his baptism records. Thanking you in advance, John jcyfra@aol.com
