I have just finished reading 'White Knights, Dark Earls, The Rise and Fall of an Anglo-Irish Dynasty' a book by Bill Power about the Kingstons which I got last month in Mitchelstown. It is published by The Collins Press (www.collinpress.com) and is a fascinating read. Mick _________________________________________________________________ Surf the Web without missing calls! I am a new member of this list. I am looking for my gr.gr.grandfather, Thomas VANSTON who came from Ireland to Canada approx. 1834. I am wanting to find his parents names. His wife Agnes BRENNAN is reported to have been born 1816/17 near Maryborough, Queen's Co. Ireland. Thomas came from that Co. also. They were married in Canada in 1834. Did he have siblings, and what was his mother's maiden name? Any help anyone can give would be very much appreciated! Tish from BC Canada tish@cablalan.net
Rose I was researching Howards from Kilworth, Co Cork at the National Library in Dublin when I saw some Supples but I didnt take any details. I am also looking for Bulmans in Cork and a John Bulman married an Anne Supple in Cork City around 1860 which is why I noticed the name. There were no Supples in the 1851 Kilworth census. Rose; Perhaps you already know this but the name Supple is attributed to a man who came in with Strongbow during the Norman Invasion. The name was formerly de la Chapelle. Would anyone know whether Mallow Heritage Center offers full or just partial service to genealogical enquirers? I sent away last year for a list of my family's christenings in Cork but I would like a Comprehensive Family History Report from them now. If in fact they do not provide full service, where might I get a report of the same quality? I would ask them myself but I couldn't find an email address on their website. Thank you in advance for your help. Bill O'Loughlin
Do any Estate Papers for the Earl of Bantry or for the Earl of Bandon survive and if so where are they located? TIA Kate
Michael, I have tried three times to get the Supple site that you posted. Any suggestions? Where is Northamtonshire? Are your related to the Supples? There are Cronins buried on my great grandmother, Mary O'Sulivan Supple's lot. Thank you for your help. Leaving for Ireland Wednesday, to try and find my Supple ancestors in County Cork. Rose

Hello Is there anyone looking for MACKEY in Cork? If so I would love to hear from you - it might help me over my brickwall! Jean
Rose When checking Kilworth Church Register in Dublin recently I noticed some Supples - I think it was in the 1840s. Mick _________________________________________________________________ Broadband? Dial-up? Get reliable MSN Internet Access. http://resourcecenter.msn.com/access/plans/default.asp
Public Record Office of Northern Ireland Another considerable quantity of 19th-century MS and printed case papers, correspondence, etc, 1846-1872, all relates to the litigation between and among the Kings and King-Harmans, the re-settlement of the Mitchelstown estate and the (first) re-settlement of the Rockingham estate which took place in this period and all of which were more-or-less interrelated and were inspired by the illegitimacy of Henry Ernest Newcomen King, second 'son' of Robert King, 2nd Viscount Lorton and 6th Earl of Kingston (though almost certainly the son of Robert King's wife, Anne, by the Vicomte Satgé St Jean). Family background. The depositor of the King-Harman papers, Colonel A.L. King-Harman, not only owns the papers covered by this list, but published a short family history based on them and on other sources, entitled The Kings of King House (Bedford, 1996). One principal source for this was the much longer family history, The Kings, Earls of Kingston (Cambridge, 1959), printed privately for family circulation by his late father, Capt. R.D. King-Harman, RN, DSO, DSC. Both books are in the archive, the longer version being on loan from Elizabeth Lady Shakespeare, a direct descendant of the 1st Viscount Lorton. These are essential sources for the complexities of King, Harman and King-Harman family history, which cannot be summarised within anything resembling reasonable bounds. Copies of The Kings of King House may be ordered from Colonel A.L. King-Harman, c/o Lloyds Bank, 34 High Street, Bedford MK40 1SB (price £8.50). It is highly recommended reading. http://proni.nics.gov.uk/records/private/kinghar.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: <Wtoxr7@aol.com> To: <CountyCork-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, October 17, 2002 10:37 PM Subject: [Cork] Identity of the Earl of Kingston in Griffiths Valuation > Can anyone tell me the name of the Earl of Kingston in 1852? Hello, I just joined the group a few days ago, and I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with one of my ancestors! I have a James Anglin, and I found on the Morman website, that he was born about 1718 in Cloyne Diocese, Cork Co. Ireland. He was married to a Mary Lindsey, and it says they were married at Doneraile, Cloyne Diocese, Cork Co., on May 5, 1743. The immigrated to N.C., and were there at least by 1750. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much, Becky Carden, rec@hiwaay.net

Hello Elizabeth, Thank you for replying. I am not in a position to check the index to Irish births at an LDS Family History Center, but obviously would welcome any help if anyone else had access. To date I think I have done everything that I could possibly do. Kind regards Bob in Norfolk UK ----- Original Message ----- From: "Elizabeth W.
