Hi Frances, I have been researching Neville for about ten years. My gr. grandfather's name was Patrick Neville. The only information I have on him is that he was from County Cork. He was born in 1843 (I think) I have different birth dates. He showed up here in the states and married Lizzie Carter in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania sometime before 1875. Their first child was born in 1875. Their children were: William Patrick dob.1875, James Bartholomew dob.1877, Jack (John) Adams dob.1878, Joseph Erwin dob.1881, Sarah Elizabeth dob.1885 Margaret (Maggie) dob.1890 and I have an Arthur but listed him as died as a child. After all my searching I have not been able to find out where in County Cork they were from and therefore do not know the names of his parents. I don't think there is a connection but let's keep in touch just in case one of us finds some information. Another bit of information is that the family ended up in Essex County, New Jersey. Patrick died in Newark, New Jersey in 1895. Thanks for e-mailing, Ginny Pietsch Houston, Texas ----- Original Message ----- From: "Frances Newberry" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, July 15, 2007 11:42 AM Subject: [COUNTYCORK] County Cork Census 1851 > Hi Ginny > > My ancestors are also Neville, I suppose this is a long shot but do you > know > of Arthur Neville I believe from County Cork but have no proof of that. > Arthur Neville b 1827 married Ellen Mountcashel (from Killmallock > Limerick) > and came to Wales in 1858. Mary Please read below you have confused me with someone who requested info on the Fitzgeralds in the census. The gentleman is named Stan. Jan -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of JP & MC Mizzi Sent: Sunday, July 15, 2007 7:24 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [COUNTYCORK] Surviving 1851 Census Returns of Ireland. Hello Jan, Sorry to butt in here and not sure if I have contacted you before, but in relation to the Fitzgerald Family of Mallow, I found a grave headstone named REDMOND FITZGERALD d.1766 and no other information, from the St. James Cemetery, Mallow. Have had no luck in finding out anything about this cemetery. The Mallow Archeological Group have information about Mallow but I found it a bit expensive to employ their researchers. My ancestor was a Timothy Fitzgerald, b.1784, possibly married firstly to Catherine Crowley in 1814(not sure about this just a name sent to me from another list which has not been confirmed) Timothy married twice, his second wife was Matha Turner widow, m 1866, formerly Martha Davies who was considerably younger than him. Timothy died in Swansea in 1872 and I have his 2nd marriage and death certificates. His father was Redmond Fitzgerald, but there were quite a number of Redmonds around that time, so still checking this out. Also received info that a MARGARET FITZGERALD died in COAL QUAY Mallow in 1800. No info about her either. Are we looking for the same family? If so email me and let me know your line. If not, good luck with your search. I am not looking for anyone to do a look up, I am posting the family in case there is a match to someone else searching HART family, from somewhere in Ireland to NYC. HART HART, PATRICK married MURPHY, CATHERINE - possibly in Cork Ireland in 1868 in Aghada??? They emmigrated to NY in 1883, with at least 2 children having been born in Ireland, Hugh b. 1871 Rose b. 1881 or 7 ( number hard to read)........ other known children John (1885) and Joseph(1890) born in NYC. Supposedly there were 8 living children according to 1900 census but other names unknown. Rose was my step grand mother..........she married William Doyle in NY 1928 and died in 1954. She had no children. She was Doyle's 2nd wife. At least one of the brothers had a car agency possibly new and used in brooklyn or Queens in 1940's. That is all that is known of family. Any further info would be appreciated if you have a match. I remember someone else in Florida, a long time back looking for info on Harts...I just got this info so posting in case it is new to them or others looking for Harts.

Hi Ginny My ancestors are also Neville, I suppose this is a long shot but do you know of Arthur Neville I believe from County Cork but have no proof of that. Arthur Neville b 1827 married Ellen Mountcashel (from Killmallock Limerick) and came to Wales in 1858. Do you have any details of the Neville family? Could this family tie in? Jim If it is done off list then the information isn't in the archives when people do searches. I thought that was the purpose of these lists? However I will defer to the wishes of the list administrator if they would like to give a decision. Thanks Jan. I appreciate the lookup. These Malones are driving me mad. It doesn't seem to be a very common name in Cork - especially with Francis attached to it - so there aren't even many straws to clutch at. Please look up the family of Eliza Jane Montgomery,b. 15 Oct, 1841 in "Cork, IRE" She would have been 10 yrs. old in 1851 also, William Clark (Clarke) b.Abt. 1810 in "Cork" would have been age 40 in "Cork, Ire." 1851Census. He was in the US by 1860. The family were brickmakers in Philadelphia, PA. Thank you for your time.
