Hi I am trying to find out more information about William Coulson, who married Elizabeth Whitehouse 3rd August 1851 at St Thomas's Birmingham. The marriage certificate says he was a bachelor of full age, a sadler(?) living in Washington Street. His father was John Coulson, a baker. A scan of the certificate is at http://privatewww.essex.ac.uk/~alan/family/images/documents/marriage-92a.jpg<http://privatewww.essex.ac.uk/%7Ealan/family/images/documents/marriage-92a.jpg> The only William Coulson listed in the 1851 census of Birmingham St Thomas was a lodger at 35 Granville Street (which runs parallel to Washington Street), an unmarried stamper aged 18, born in America. That might be the right man, but isn't obviously so. Elizabeth remarried (as Elizabeth Coleson, a widow) in Dudley on 6th February 1854, so William may be the William Colson whose death is listed in the SEP quarter of 1853, Dudley vol 6c page 64. Does anyone recognise this William, and can tell me more about him, please? Thanks Alan
