I've traced some of my roots back to Jane Colson in Claiborne Co., MS, she was one of my g-g-g-g-grandmothers. She appears in the 1850 Claiborne census with my g-g-g-grandmother, Elizabeth Kirby Colson and her brother, Henry M. Jane's maiden name may have been Kirby, she seems to have been married to Jacob Melbourne Colson, she may have been previous married to a Buchan.
